I made it back home OK. I met a girl from Helston in the minibus to the airport which was totally random! She was on the same plane and everything. It was really weird though because she dissappeared while we were checking in and I never saw her again :S
The flight was uneventful. At the stop in Dubai there was a group of girls who had obviously come from India because they had all thier airy fairy clothes on and were wearing beauty spots. I could only assume they had found themselves while they were in India. Apart from one, who had already donned her matching red tracksuit bottoms AND top and had continued to keep up the platinum blonde hair dying while she was out there.
Upon arrival in the UK I tried to sort out whether I would go to Exeter to see some people or go straight home. Much to my mothers horror I choose to stay at Dicos for 2 nights with Milnesay. It was all very spontanious and great fun! However the organisation was a nightmare. First I found out that you are not allowed to use plug scokets in public places and can get your phone confiscated for doing so. I had 0 battery after 3 months of not touching my phone so I just bought a ticket to Tiverton Parkway and hoped I could get hold of someone on the way.
While waiting for the train from Gatwick to Reading I asked one of the men at the platform if the trains had sockets. He was very rude and said no as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Then I started asking him if the trains from Reading to Exeter would have plugs. He inturupted me half way through without even listening to the question and said 'No! None of the trains have plugs.'
There was a plug on the train from Reading to Exeter and I was able to charge my phone and send some texts. Unfortunatly the signal was so bad I couldn't make any calls.
Long story short I texted Dico and Milnesay and we decided that I would chill out in Exeter while Milnesay drove to pick me up and we would all follow Dicos very detailed directions to rendevous at his.
We had a great time just chilling out, we went back into Exeter for a beer and some pizza that evening and went to the beach the next day where I got sunburnt a little haha! I did go swimming in just my trunks though, it was very cold but good fun.
Now I have been home for almost 2 weeks, it has gone very fast! I still dont have a job yet but hopefully something will come up soon!
